Flower Bed - Before and After

Today's before and after - the front flower bed! This is a picture of our front yard when we moved in. You can get a glimpse of the "flower bed" in the top right corner of this picture, right next to that random baby swing. It is full of rocks, rocks, and more rocks. Look at all those leaves on the "lawn" - AHH! Kind of makes me sick.

This is a picture one month after we moved in. The leaves are GONE for one, and you can see the junk tree growing in the flower bed, and it's all full of weeds. 

At this point, a month later, Jonathan has taken out the junk tree and partially removed the weeds. You can see on the far left that the wall is in pretty bad shape with lots of stones missing.

And...TA DA! This is our fabulous flower bed now. We fixed the wall using some of the rocks we got out of the flower bed - we had several dozen large boulders to choose from. Several neighbors gave us some random perennials (probably felt sorry for us), plus we planted our veggies in there too. It's the only spot with enough sun on our property, so there you have it. The new sod helps a bit too, huh? WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT!
